Work Completed: Drywall Water Damage Repair & Mold Removal

Repaired water damage to the drywall resulting from a leaky water line in the bathroom. Damaged sheetrock was removed from the bathroom as well as the laundry room below. The damaged external wall was treated for mold and re-insulated in both rooms.

I have owned my home for 25 years and have dealt with many contractors, most of which I will never use again. Dealing with Get It Done was so easy. Matt and his employees have done a great job on my home improvements, siding, stone work on the foundation, front and side steps, chimney, gutters, leaders, awnings, electrical, plumbing and roof repairs.

During the weeks they worked at my house they were friendly and professional. In addition to the great workmanship they were reasonably priced. So much that I have now asked Matt to purchase and install one exterior door and one interior door.

I highly recommend Get It Done! And have done so to all my neighbors.

We purchased our 1st home 5 years ago, and Matt and the Get It Done team have been our go–to home improvement contractors ever since. As much as we loved the home, we wanted to make some improvements to better suit our needs and style.

We started with a galley kitchen remodel. We closed off 2 windows and a door, installed a sliding glass door to the deck and a window over the sink. The galley layout was changed by moving a wall further into the garage to allow for additional cabinet and counter space. Get It Done not only did all the work, they provided us with suggestions and design advice that resulted in a beautiful and functional kitchen. We entertain often, and no one ever wants to leave our amazing kitchen!

Our next project was taking a child’s bathroom and updating it with a more sophisticated style. Get It Done advised us on the tile design, did the tiling and installed a glass shower door. It looks great and suits us much better than the tropical fish theme it originally had. Crown and base moldings were installed throughout the house adding another touch of sophistication, and some siding repairs were made as well. Following that we had our roof and gutters replaced. What a difference! We couldn’t be happier with the result.

Most recently Get It Done did a major remodel of our basement, which involved replacing old windows, waterproofing and insulating the walls, framing and sheet rocking a room, installing a floating laminate floor, and molding and trim work. They did and INCREDIBLE job—it looks like an entirely new space. We are anxious to purchase some furniture and make use of this new and amazing looking space!

It’s also important to note that as a young family just starting out, it’s meant a great deal that Matt’s estimates have always been affordable and accurate. They call themselves Get It Done for a reason—that’s exactly what they do! The crew is professional, responsive, honest, and quick to finish what they start. We plan to have them paint our home in the Spring!

Recently I had the pleasure of having two major projects completed by Get It Done Home Improvements. First, I had my bathroom remodeled. Initially, I took on the project myself thinking that I could do the job, but after months of my bathroom being out of commission, my wife convinced me to hire a pro. I got a few quotes, but in the end decided to go with Get It Done. Dealing with the company’s owner, Matt, was a pleasure. He was polite, respectful, and knew what needed to be done. He, along with his father, was able to advise me on choice of tile and layout pattern. The job took about three days to complete. My wife and I are very happy with the end result. When we’re ready, we will hire them again to update our master bathroom.

The second project was fixing our leaky chimney. Every time it rained, we would get moisture in the wall right behind the chimney. I’ve had the flashing replaced once before, but apparently the problem was not eliminated, only covered up. Matt was able to troubleshoot the leak and fix it for good. We’ve had many rainy days since and no visible water damage.

Matt and his crew have done a great job on our home improvement projects. They were reasonably priced, completed the job in a timely manner, kept the work area clean, and had utmost respect for us and our property. Therefore, I would recommend Get It Done Home Improvements without reservations to my family and friends and anyone needing a bathroom remodel or chimney flashing fixed.
